I've been talking to creatives across industries, and as summer turns to fall, many are feeling a renewed commitment to their purpose, while others are ready to find work that matters before the calendar flips to 2026.
Each person is unique, yet the roadblocks I'm seeing are broadly universal: perfectionism, self-limiting beliefs, old stories we’ve internalized, and a lack of access to resources.

Music that's inspiring me
Lately I’ve been fueled by artists taking risks with their sound and going bolder with their creative energy. New (plus new to me) music I've been loving includes Between the Buried and Me, Zeal & Ardor, and Hayley Williams.
I also find myself listening Oasis daily for a dose of creative swagger, and thinking about what it means to build a creative legacy to stand the test of time. Seeing them perform live in Chicago last month was worth it 100x over, and I'm convinced art and live music make our communities stronger.

What daily activity could become a form of meditation or creative rest?
I love birding as a form of meditating. Watching how birds interact, settle disputes, find food for each other, build (and sometimes steal!) nests -- it's a great reminder of what we're here for, and the natural ways of the animal kingdom.
